MasterAirScrew has released their propellers for the Neo. Will be interesting to see if their claims are even close to reality. One claim. Improving top speed from 20 to 40 mph. Hard to believe. The 6% improvement in flight times is real minimal. A 2dB decrease in sound volume. Maybe possible.

Have their Avata2 propellers. Primary reason for purchase was the orange color for easier spotting of a downed Avata2. One of the hopes ended up not. No real noticeable improvements in flight times. Sound volume is similar to stock. Just a different pitch. Costs at the sale price purchased was still another +20% more than stock Avata2.

MasterAirScrew Neo props are expensive. IIRC, stock are $5 per set. MAS Neo props are ~$14. Sticking with the stock. Plenty sets sitting in the spare parts bin.

Yeah I just saw that, pretty incredible claims. Available soon at MAS (next week?) and as usual, not right away on Amazon but eventually (I think for a $1 or $2 more): DJI Neo STEALTH Upgrade Propellers - x4 Red

Pretty sure Captain Drone will give these the appropriate review.

Was wondering when MAS was going to come out with props for the NEO. Unfortunately I won’t be getting any for 2 reasons: the first being they are too expensive compared to the cost of the original DJI ones (CAN$7 for 4) and the second reason is a political one which I’ll leave at that.

MAS usually has a pretty good holiday sale and often you can combine that with Shop discount.

I have purchased MAS props in the past for other drones (P3S and Spark). They are quality props from a quality company and when they have sales they are a pretty good deal. I had been looking forward to their NEO props but times have changed.

Regardless of price, quality, design or features, I won’t be making any more purchases.

Chrislaf, what has been the coldest air temps you have flown the Neo in? Some plastics become more "brittle" in the cold. Stock Neo propellers at least around freezing seem fine.

Not even considering the MAS propellers. Not impressed with the MAS Avata2 propellers. Guessing the same for the Neo and given even a more significant price differential. Not worth it. Too use to purchasing quality HQ and GemFan props for less than $1 per prop.

I believe the coldest flight I did with my NEO was -14ºC back at the beginning of January. Temperatures are still quite cold in the mornings now (-14ºC today) but daytime highs are now warmer at around -6ºC.

For me, MAS props have always been an option to DJI props because they have a proven track record and provide the option of adding a bit of colour to your drone. I currently fly with them on my old P3S. I find the MAS price for NEO props way too high considering I can get a complete set of original DJI props for less than half the cost of their props. Even if their prices were more reasonable I would not purchase - maybe in 4 years I will reconsider!
