Well, I couldn't resist any more! I finally tapped the 'Place your order' button on Amazon for the FMC. It should be here tomorrow (Sunday) and includes the RC-N3 controller since I don't already have a compatible one.

After watching numerous YouTube videos and reading reviews/first impressions on here and other sites I am going to give the NEO a try. I am hoping it will fill some of the gaps left from my other two camera drones.

Looking forward to trying it out since the fall colours are starting to peak around where I live so getting a low and wider-angle perspective would be great.

I still have lots of unknowns that I will eventually test out but for following me while walking/biking through a trail it should be fine. Looking forward to capturing the fall colours from a low perspective and catching the falling leaves.

Yeah.

Thought about driving to Canada from Indiana to get the combo pack with remote since it's not available in the US.

I don't have any accessories that would work with the NEO and flying with just a phone will be limited.

Maybe the whole kit will be available in the States around Christmas time?

It puzzles me why, in the US, the NEO is only available as a combo pack (everything but the controller) if you want more than just the drone and battery. Usually it's the other way around - the US is the first to get all the options.

I hope for you and others that maybe DJI will come to their senses and offer the complete FMC soon.

I likely wouldn't have ordered the FMC if I had a compatible controller. I am not usually one to buy the FMC because it usually includes items that I will not use but in this case I will use all of the items in the package.

Well a disappointing start with NEO. The box arrived from Amazon but I noticed that the box seal was broken and then taped back shut. I didn’t even bother opening it - it’s going back. I don’t want a drone that has been opened and possibly registered. Also the box looked slightly used as if someone had bought it and tried it out. I order lots from Amazon and this is the first time this has ever happened.

I’ll try again. Re-ordered and if the stars align it will be here tomorrow.

The beauty of the Neo is if you already have the other gear (and RC, goggles, etc.), it's cheap enough you only have to give up eating for a week to.afford it.

And you lose a little weight. Profit.

that's the beauty of owning some of the DJI goggles, they open your world up to Dozens of Great Drones!!!! The air unit has to be the best DJI product ever!!!!

Exactly!! I think I'm going to walk the drone tomorrow for my shots, m3p, and I still plan to use my MA2 for the high level shots.
I'm real close to doing the same thing, but holding off just a bit longer.
Still reading all the options.

I was out yesterday with my Mini 3 Pro following behind it as I flew it down a trail to capture the changing leaves. That worked fine but I want the NEO to be able to just launch it and go and if I need to fly it in tight spaces like low to the ground through branches and such, I can just use it with the controller. The NEO's completely enclosed props and lack of obstacle avoidance is an advantage in this situation.

Exactly! Amazon is selling discounted open box and returns through their warehouse store for a discounted price. If I wanted one of those I would have purchased one - I did not purchase an opened box for the retail price!

Hopefully the replacement will be a new sealed box unit.

This was my thought as well flying up stone walls surrounded by trees, it would have been much easier with what the neo does. More freedom to fly safely, both for the drone and my wallet.
