I'm really happy I didn't resist any longer and joined the 'collective'! After using the NEO for about a week I think it's a great little drone for a very good price. I have used it with my phone and with the RC-N3 controller. I haven't tried the drone only method yet.
So far it has been perfect for what I wanted it for and I can fly it in places I would never fly with my more expensive camera drones. It's not perfect but no drone is. This will be the drone I take everywhere with me.
I wanted to say Thank You to all of the fellow pilots who answered my numerous questions and who helped me make the decision to 'join the collective'.
