Neo 2?

I am a US pilot. I just ordered a Neo 2 on Bangagood. I used this before with good results (Not a drone). They just take a very long time to ship. It must go by cargo ship as they always take over a month.

If it gets here and through US Customs I ordered the Motion Fly More combo that includes: Neo 2, Motion Controller 3, Goggles N3, 3 Batteries, Digital Transceiver and all of the supporting small accessories.

It has a projected arrival date early in 2026. Hopefully Santa will step in and get it to me for Christmas.

The Neo platforms are such a great bargain for what they can do.
That’s the combo I would order too if I ever get a NEO 2.

Honestly, I don´t know who are these drones for... I´m FPV pilot and pretty satisfied with my Neo and Avata2. I actually bought 2nd, brand new ones from each, in case if something goes very wrong. But, for us there is another way to go: the O4 equipped FPV drones. The Meteor75 and the Pavo20 pro are very popular nowdays. Not to mention, the Caddx Protos comes to the market soon, the full FPV kit, cheaper, than the Neo1 goggles fly more combo. I don´t think I´ll buy dji drones again.

Not really, that's gonna be a $1K drone, not a $250 one, probably not under 250gr, etc. Completely different line with both having their purposes as usual.

I already have Avata 1 and 2 and NEO so I was probably thinking about for me....glad I didn't pull the trigger on the NEO 2 just yet. You can only have so many FPV drones and in America, we are coming up to a point where it's time to pick and choose wisely and every $ counts (backups, etc). I'm still thinking about $500 for the NEO 2 which would be easy if the Avata 360 were same price range but it's probably way north of $1K with all that new equipment. And then there is the Avata 3 to think about. At this point, I'm just thinking DJI drones....

So rumor has it the Avata 360 has FCC certification completed and approved. It's just a guess but I'm thinking many of those who had NEO 1 and bought NEO 2 for the upgrades may have been satisfied with just keeping NEO 1 and going for the Avata 360. We'll see. I would rather have the DJI FPV 2 but probably not going to happen. :)

Okay, I have to have one. I am interested in and use all the features of the Neo, the autonomous stuff all the way to full acro FPV flight. I'm particularly excited about how the OA will make getting some shots shooting through openings with the MC3 way less "soil my pants" moments.

I loved the gesture control with the original DJI Mavic Air, even though it was flaky. Looking forward to trying this with the Neo 2, and it working better.

Anyone in the US get one? How? Need some help with that...

I see the Neo2 as a replacement to the 1, just like the Avata 2 was a replacement to the 1. Sold the Avata 1 when I got the 2, just listed the Neo 1 (2 should arrive tomorrow). In both cases I see no reason to keep the old, worse option.

I wouldn't expect both an Avata 3 and an Avata 360, if the latter is happening then that'll be the "Avata 3".

Ouch, I caved.

Bought the NEO 2.

Details shortly.
So I check my Paypal and I have an offer of 20% if I use Paypal (where accepted) to make a purchase (anything, anywhere) and split it into 4 interest-free payments. Done this many times before (or something similar on Paypal) but had not see it in awhile. Typically I just charge my purchase to my credit card, get my usual 2% back, call it a day. The Paypal offer says charge up to $1250 and get $250 back maximum.

So I found my favorite NEO 2 eBay listing, paid $530 after tax for the RC-2 combo using Paypal for payment and pretty immediately I can see $106 in points pending. My calculations after a few other discounts I used makes this a $398 purchase which I just couldn't pass up. So I guess I have a NEO 2 on the way! :)

Congrats on your new bird!

DJI sure knows how to scheme out new models to get our money!

I will most likely be posting soon enough about ordering an Avata 360.

Probably going to get that one too if they can get it in under the deadline. I don't know how I feel about buying a DJI drone after the deadline. Will buy it for sure if the FCC is certified (and not revoked) before the deadline. That was my plan all along but I really couldn't pass up this (NEO) deal which has a early December expiration date and I didn't think Avata 360 would launch by then; couldn't wait. The NEO 2 could very well be the last DJI drone ever FCC certified in the US.
