Neo 2?

Of course you do, and I still like the sound & convenience of my under dash, aftermarket 8-track player in my '67 Impala.😲
But these are choices, not what you are limited to.

Man, what a lowrider that '67 and $20k would make. Great hobby.
Not as great for the heavy traffic and daily commute to work or family vacation.

Thinking here of the number of '57 Chevys in use as the goto (only available) cars in Cuba for the locals to purchase over and over.
🤔
This may be a slight exaggeration but not too far off of where we could be headed.

You don't even have a cassette player?
So no new Taylor Swift release for you? 🤣
I got my Walkman ready!🤗

Just kidding.
Or am I?

Oops, gotta run. Avon or the Fuller Brush Man is at the door!
😝🤧

Is this dude for real?
Read my Bio.😇

Yup, don't buy nothing without that Union Label.😉

It's not the workers its the corporate albatross.
Ok. It's a little the workers.🤣

Like many sucked into the MAScrew hype. Only good for the Avata2 set purchased were similar in price to the overpriced OEM Avata2 propellers and Orange color for easier location of a downed quad. Neo MAScrewU propellers seem to be a rip off at a significantly higher price than OEMs and now GemFan, HQ options. Rip off except probably their claim to be 2dB quieter which was true with the Avata2 just based on a smartphone sound meter app. Avata2 MASu different pitch frequency might be a + for some. Could be similar with their Neo propellers.

Made in USA does not = better quality. Just supporting hopefully fair paying, good working conditions business.

For the A2 there are many options with HQ and GF. I have 7 different props (incl the A1 spec props). The 5 bladed GF 2925-5 and the 3 bladed 2927-3 HQ suck, the others are pretty good IMO. All the A1 props are available in neon yellow, the A2 HQ props in pink and the GF3032 in yellow and tangerine colors. You can spot these props from a long distance if it matters. All of them are 1/3, 1/4 price comparing to the MAs prices.

There are many of those businesses that qualify.
Unfortunately, there are far less employees than are needed to fill those positions.
The majority of people available feel they are entitled to 3x the pay for one third the time and the business is taking advantage of them every way possible.

We have lost the ideology of a honest day's work for a fair days wage.
Social media and politics have seen to it that most people consider work as the enemy and do all they can to see it eliminated for the free ride to fame and wealth.
The problem is that some actually find it that way and blog that "you can too" " rebel with us".
Some employers are developing that thought process too.
If ya can't beat them, crush them.
Probably, due to the way the business was acquired by them or just bad upbringing.
Lying, cheating and scamming is the easy way to the top.
No need for labor, honesty, dedication or fairness.
Just get it by any easy means possible because others have.

And these people are going to be in charge?
Of what or who? will become the question!

Time to fly,

Everyone wants more for the next name your drone. The Neo is a selfie drone. If you want a drone for some specific activity, get a model which does that thing well. The Neo is an inexpensive beginner model. Nothing more.

A bit harsh, I'd say.

The neo fits a specific category that in the US has a lot of value: Under 250g with protected props, allowing legally flying over people (if you add an RID module that keeps it under 250g).

Beefing it up with a better camera, motors, more on-board storage, a better VPS camera and adding native RID while keeping it under 250g would be more than enough to get me to buy one. I suspect there are quite a few people that share my view on this.

And it could easily be done. RID has nearly zero cost in weight due to the SPR. The camera and motors would add a bit, but there's plenty of margin available at 135g. Would likely require a more powerful CPU, RAM, and NVM storage, but this doesn't have to cost anything in terms of weight, given how CPU and storage technology continues to advance since the Neo first hit the design phase. Heck, I just bought two 1TB micro-SD cards. The 200MP sensor in my new Galaxy Fold 7 takes amazing images, records stunning 8k video, and is smaller than the sensor in the Neo.

I'm not suggesting DJI put these leading-edge components in the neo, but there's a lot of room between what the $200 neo has today, and what could be designed in to a $500 neo 2.

The biggest problem will be how to get one here in the US...

Sticker shock. Checked on purchasing one additional battery for the Avata2. Expensive when first released and now even more expensive. No issue in deciding. No stock.

DJI has a few issues regarding sales in the USA.
Customs and Border Control stopping import due to the "slave labor issue".
DJI needing to pass audit or end up on the FCC more or less banned list. Problem for DJI sounds like they are either not making an effort or the US Govt agencies that could audit them are not. IIRC, no audit completed and passed by the end of this year puts DJI on the banned list.
The Stefanskis of our Congress and maybe the President thinking that DJI is a national security risk.

The Doom and Gloom outlook. The end of DJI in the USA. Sure hope our UASs don't become "bricks". The optimistic outlook. Just a hick up for now. No interest in the Neo 2 based on the rumors of specs and features. Just hope that DJI will be able to sell their products in the USA. Eventually batteries wear out. Sometimes bad incidents happen. Like trashing you Goggles or controller.
