Here's some new accessories that I picked up from AliExpress.

The clip on light reviewed by @Droning on and on... earlier on this site works great when flying around in my house and should prove handy when I want to tackle flying into an abandoned building. The lens hood I bought because I was getting bad lens flaring when bike riding through forest trails and the sun was in front or in front but just off to the side making the video unusable. Not sure if the lens hood is just a gimmick but it was only a few dollars so hoping it will work at reducing the lens flaring.

Also just ordered a mounting bracket for my pen light so that I can illuminate dark places in front of the drone (abandoned buildings).

This is a UV / black light flashlight. I crashed my Avata2 a few weeks ago into a cornfield. It was late afternoon, there was nothing colorful on the drone, it was pretty difficult to find, because the "find my drone" showed only the home point and the battery went empty in a few minutes, so the beeper stopped working. I have neon color propellers, glow up in UV light and very easy to spot the drone, even when it gets dark.

Tried the clip on light and it works great. Was able to fly NEO through the rooms in my house without room lights on without any problems, so when I get a chance to try it in an abandoned building it should work ok.

Haven’t received the light holder yet but it should work fine with my pen light. The only thing that I don’t like about it is that it clips to the prop guards so they must be attached to use it. With the clip on light on the bottom and a pen light on the top, the added weight will likely reduce flight time. I’ll have to test to see by how much.

When I tried the sun shade the sun went behind the clouds so not as bright as I wanted, but the shade did not get in the camera frame which is what I was worried about.

Very nice collection of accessories. When I get a chance, I'll post a thread with all of my accessories as well. You might be interested in some of them.

UV lamp very useful, helps to spot the downed drone.

Received my light holder today. Here’s a couple of pictures with the holder and my pen light with it’s mount attached to the holder.

Unfortunately with the landing light attached, it’s too much weight for the NEO. The drone takes off and flies but it continually drops in altitude requiring constant counteracting or the NEO will eventually land.

Without the penlight (Aurora A3 Pro) which weighs 20g the NEO flies fine. I need the landing light for lowlight environments so that means I need to find another tiny light penlight type light that is well under 20g, preferably under 10g. Right now I am looking into keychain lights.

By the way, I flew the NEO with the landing light on a couple of days ago into rooms in my house that were pitch black with no lights on and it flew great.

Your dron looks totally like tactical drone at special units. Yes the Neo is not designed to carry heavy loads. At least not with these props. In this case the 5 blade or the 4 blade GF props do a great job, they generate much more thrust, than OEM props.

But would they generate enough thrust to compensate for my 20g penlight? Do you have a link for those props on Aliexpress, I don’t use Amazon anymore.

Chris

Thanks! I think those are the ones I was looking into - Gemfan D51. They don’t appear to come with screws so I guess I would have to use The screws from my spare DJI props. I might order a few of these to try out.

All of my lights are Rovyvon and they weigh around 19g.
My Aurora A3 Pro pictured above is a Rovyvon light and it is 20g. I have two of them and have used them for light painting on my Mini 4 Pro, but on the NEO with the LED landing light attachment the total weight is too heavy. The LED landing light which is necessary for low light is 42g so I don't have much room to spare.

I tried the Aurora A3 Pro with my light attachment on the NEO without the landing light and it flew without any problems. I need to find a tiny keychain style light that is about 1.5cm in diameter to fit in my mount that is probably about 10g or less so that the NEO can fly properly.

I might also try some 5 blade props suggested above but I don't think this alone will solve the problem.

DJI has reduced the power greatly, if you fly with "regular" equipment. Top speed normal mode: 20 km/h, sport mode: 30 km/h (40-50% of the power), you have Tello, exactly the same, however in manual mode, if I keep the attitude limiter ON: fly with 50-55 km/h with 30 grade setting and OFF: goes over 60 km/h... There´s enough power reserve of the Neo, could lift all your lights in theory.

Just ordered some 5 blade props from Aliexpress. Maybe if I am lucky they will provide enough thrust to support my 20g light and save me from searching for another light that may or may not work.
