Received the Freewell kit containing one UV, CPL,and Mist filter plus two mounting rings. The mounting rings are a fraction of a gram metal with double sided adhesive on one side. The filters are magnetized allowing them to stick to the metal ring.

Optical quality is good. No need to remove when placing gimbal guard on. Minimal weight. They stay on during flight. But... if you crash they can pop off. Just an indoors test flight. Flying slow when I bumped into the legs of the coffee and dining room table trying to shoot through the gaps. More of a deflecting impact, but too low to regain control before impact with the floor. Both times the filter fell off. First time didn't even realize the UV filter came off until I saw it sitting on the floor. Filters need stronger or higher quality neodymium magnets. Even those may allow the filter to slide off on impact.

Thanks for the review! 👍🏻

The mounting is a conundrum... The magnets can be no stronger than the adhesive holding the mounting ring on the camera barrel. Double-sided tape is pretty weak as adhesive is concerned.

Ideally theyd sell a kit with really strong magnets and corresponding small tube of adhesive to glue the mounting ring on the barrel.

But we know how that sort of thing goes when out in the wild public, off the engineer's workbench 🤣🤣

I ordered the Skyreet filters from Amazon (UV, ND8-ND64)They should be here after Christmas. They mount the same way as the Freewell ones.
