Well, I continue posting leaks, as I did with the Neo on the Tello Pilot forum. We heard the rumours already, that dji most likely comes out with a affordable goggles.
I try to post here, what's somehow related to the Neo and compatible with it.I'm very interested in the Air 3s
I plan to get this one!Nothing new yet regarding goggles, this is for GFields:
It depends, what we call cheap... I've seen a few days ago goggles 3 in discount for 300€, but there's no FPV radio included. On the other hand my favourite RTF kit, the Aquila16 from BetaFPV costs 230€ and everything included. And some more options too.... I'd begin FPV with one of these sets.I hope they do produce some affordable goggles, given they cost more than the neo does. I quite like the idea of an FPV flight, but the prices of goggles are prohibitive. In anycase, I need to get used to flying manually with the control first.
It´s not only the money. I live in west europe, can afford more expensive stuffs. It´s more like the incompatibillity. I´ve been flying drones for approx 4 years and stayed on a casual fan level. I don´t wanna buy any more DJI, rather FPV drones. In this case the goggles are compatible with drones have O3 / O4 air unit. But the controller isn´t ELRS, so very limited compatibility, even within brand. If the new goggles stay under 200€, it´s okay, if more expensive, I turn to FPV kits.I'll just make the important point that one man's view that they're buying a Faberge Egg it's bargain basement for another.
To illustrate, I wouldn't take a fancy new lighted makeup mirror if you paid me to take it off your hands. My wife, different story.
To me, the Goggles 3 are a bargain. Not so much to some others.
That would be good, I have just bought the goggles 3 and rc3 so wont help me, but i think it is a cracki g idea. They have not arrived yet, and I know it sounds daft, but the neo is the only drone I actually enjoy flying. I guess it's the price, the weight, the ease of use that all makes for a stress less flight. The phantoms always stressed me out when I was flying them.Maybe DJI could release some low cost goggles that could use your cell phone as a screen similar to the cheap cell phone ones sold on Amazon and other retailers, but with DJI quality and integration. I imagine the screen is likely the most expensive component in goggles.
I’d love to try FPV but not with the current price of goggles 3.
Chris
Yah, that would be nice but unfortunately I do not have any other compatible drones.Just in case you haven't thought of it, Chris (I'm sure you have), you can use the goggles with a bunch of other drones like the A3 and M4P, if you have them.
