DJI Goggles N3

Well, it turns out that the Air 3s does NOT have a variable aperture, so I'll not be getting it. I'll wait to see what the Mavic 4 has to offer or pick up the Mavic 3 Pro as the prices come down.

I love my Mavic 3 Pro. It’s so versatile and the variable aperture allows for some creative shots.

For me, it´s getting interesting. What happened was, that I wanted a last upgrade to my tellos, buying a good gampad to them and fly them till they live and finish buying DJI. I happened to buy a fake PS4 controller, whics can´t connect with OTG cable, so useless junk. The "regular" FPV radios work as a wired joystick too, so can fly them. For this I have a basic Emax E8 transmitter. It´s okay, but not really the best. I accidentally find a 3 months old, mint condition Jumper T20 ELRS radio cheaper, than a simple xbox/PS controller. So, I have now the chance to buy ELRS FPV drones. If this goggles come out relatively low price I´ll buy it and can finally fly FPV, many drones have O3 / O4 air unit in them.

Does anybody fly FPV? Not with DJI drones...

I have lots of non DJI Drones and Really fly them way more than my Expensive to Fly DJI's.
I have 2 of the BEST Drones on the Market --The GepRC Cinelog. My first one was analog BUT still the funnest Drone EVER and Strap a go-pro to one and you have a bionic version of the avata 2!
I have a few freestyle Drones BUT its hard to fly them because you cant really get near too many people with them.
The Mini whoop is the greatest! Its super light so no worries of hurting someone, and you can fly them in your backyard or house and have a Blast!
Most of my Digitals have O3 some are others.
I have converted almost all of my fleet to ELRS and I use a RadioMaster Zorro 4-1 with a ELRS module attached, Its my Favorite controller of all time! Those AG01 Gimbals cannot be any better!

That's very good news. Let's hope it pans out, as not many people will by goggles 3 for a Neo. I'm that idiot that has, and already eying up the mini 4 pro lol. Not sure what the CAA has in store for us in 2025 regulation wise with sub 250g. So might wait it out until then. Would hate to shell out for the drone now, only to find I can't fly it over people and congested areas in the next 3 months.

The cinelogs are very nice looking drones. I was thinking about to buy a TinyGo first, but it's analog. Maybe I go with a Pavo pico. The Zorro is also good looking, maybe the best looking gamepad style radio. I found a brand new cc2500 version for peanuts, but still a external elrs modul would be needed.
I want small drones too. 3, max 4 inch ones, but rather smaller.

Btw I have the v1 T20 with hall Sensor gimballs, for me it's okay. I will replace the stick antenna with a T one, but no other upgrade planned. I`m beginner in FPV, so it will be fine

I like the external modules best. I started with analog so I just got a 4-1 most of my drones then were FR-Sky stuff and I was scared of ELRS lol I have an E-8 I still use every now and then for a tinyhawk that refuses to Bind to anything else.

I bought the E8 for sim and tello. Just the radio without the drone and goggles. I had pretty much a hard time to figure out, how to turn off or just reduce the elrs transmission without the drone in the beta flight. I wanted to turn off completely, because I fly my tellos with it wired, and it's 2,4ghz elrs, made interference with the Tello's wifi. The only way was to find a flashing app on the emax website and had to bring the radio into serial port mode and could reduce it to 10 mW. Now it's fine I think.

Man, it's like your speaking another language to me, LOL..
You guys are good..

That's why I think, that I'd pay max 200€ for these goggles. Walksnail goggles for 200$.

Walksnail is DJI's biggest thorn in its side and more and more of us use Walksnail. or HD ZERO If they would simplify it a little more they could start putting a dent in the Air Unit Sales. My HD zero Goggles are the most comfortable Goggles I have. WHY DJI wont make a module for other Goggles is beyond me. I think they would sell a ton of them!

What controller do you use is it RC-N3 ?

I have not seen any of the specs of these goggles yet BUT I would imagine they will only work with the controller 3 and the Motion Controllers. I have no idea really tho. maybe you could do it with a cable from the controller somehow.

I am hoping the if the rumours are true and they do release Goggles N3 at around $250, then I could see myself buying them but only if they work with the RC-N3 controller or other compatible 'regular' controllers. If you need the controller 3 (more than the cost of a NEO) or the motion controller (half the cost) then I will likely pass. I would possibly consider the Googles N3 plus the motion controller 3 as that is a more reasonable cost.

I'm afraid, it won't be compatible with the rc-n3. Just with the FPV controller 3 or motion controller 3. I think the Goggles N3 is just a cheaper version of the Goggles 3, which isn't compatible with regular photo drone radios. Unfortunately the N series controllers don't even have wired mode, so isn't compatible with the dji simulator either.

In that case I might consider the goggles N3 and motion controller 3 if the price is around what rumours peg it as.

One thing I am wondering, can you take photos in addition to video when flying FPV and can you access camera settings similar to a regular controller like the RC-N3?
