Low level slow down

Out flying my neo2 with goggles n3 and motion3 yesterday. Quite often I like to fly normal mode about 3 to 4 feet off the ground but it kept slowing down even at full trigger. Is this because the sensors picked up the ground as too close and went into a safe / obstacle avoidance mode?
If it was caused by the sensors I guess I'd have to turn them off or switch to sport mode.

When I fly my neo 1 in s mode it does usually does slow down when going about 2-3 feet above the ground so it's normal.

Good to know it 's normal but it is annoying.

Most likely the Obstacle Avoidance system. You can turn it off in Fly, and see if the hesitation goes away.

I fly in s mode with my Neo 1 and it still does it.

I tried it in sport mode 3 feet off the ground with my neo2 and it did not slow down. Full throttle was full throttle.
So obviously it was due to the obstacle avoidance capabilities of the drone.
