In my Introduction thread I posted a photo of my rig. There were a number of comments about how I should get a lanyard. I had already been cogitating on that. Serendipitously, while cleaning up a room I happened across an old camera with a neck strap and screw in lug. Eureka! says I. See the imbedded photo. Notice the batteries fit nicely in the film can holders. Yes I slightly modified the controller but. DJI should have included a lug anyway.

Shame and lame on DJI. No lanyard lug. Oh, more sales when you drop your Tx? I use to whine about lugs not positioned correctly to have a balanced Tx. Remember they use to sell adapters to reposition the connection point up or down from factory set location. Now instead of poorly positioned lugs I guess it is just no lug provided? They must have heard me complainnnnnng.

Too cold up here from late Autumn to early Spring. Need to store the batteries in a warm pocket. But, good use of the film holders.

The CG is slightly nose heavy. I could not put the lug any farther up than it is. I hold the weight when flying anyway so, the lanyard is just a convenient place to set the controller when changing batteries.

I've got this kit for the RC2, love it. Balanced is good. Only complaint is the mounts on the sides are a little uncomfortable while holding the RC in your hands, but you get used to it pretty quick.

I had to chase Steve Bartek several blocks to get that strap.

Black lanyard and black short sticks. The blue lanyard is not in use.

I just have one lanyard to use on the TXs. Ancient Spektrum DX9 imprinted strap. Might have a strap on the the DX6i. Retired and in storage as a backup to the DX9 for the past several years. Only need one strap. Can only operate one TX as a time.

The RadioMaster Pocket's tiny plastic lanyard loop required me to attach a keychain like ring to it. The shackle clamp size are an issue. Using an old work badge lanyard clipped to it when on the simulator. I guess technically I own at least two lanyards.

I'm a thumber. Side effect of the very early years of flying toy indoor quads with thumb pad like sticks. Preference for short mushroom top sticks. With the DJI FPV3 I went with the shorter (RC2?) sticks. DJI sticks are skinny. For use of most aftermarket sticks an adapter is required. Typical DJI incompatibility.

Ring is simple, small, lightweight vs. clunky carabiner or shackle.
