Just want to pipe in and say the members here are awesome sharing the ideas amongst other drone pilots.
I don't have a NEO or an FPV drone but it's cool to see the chatter about the environment of research and development.
Three blades. Maybe four or five. ??
Sounds like a tagline for a razor blade manufacture.
After all, we are cutting the air the best we can.

Those should raise the pitch about an octave. A bit less because the motors don't have to spin as fast, but it will be considerably more mosquito-like, but probably a little quieter.

I don't know about the pitch, but one site said they lowered the noise. At $3.88 a set, I ordered them to give them a try. If they don't work, I'll make a salad shooter out of them....

The additional almost 5gm of the top guards supposedly reduce the bench flight times that DJI notes from 18 down to 17 minutes. Real world without the top guards on I've been getting 7-10 minutes gentle flying in Manual mode and 10-11 minutes in S mode using the FPV RC3.Yeah, that other 5% of the time
Haven't tried flying with the guards. Every gram counts in these micro quads. Only immersive flying. Not into the autonomous features. They came off before the first flight. But maybe yesterday I should have had them on. Broke both the propellers on the starboard side after bouncing off an obstacle and not being able to recover. Neo ended up resting upside down under the running boards of my truck on my crushed blue rock gravel driveway.
At least the Neo stock propellers are not too DJI stupid expensive. Unlike the Avata2 propellers. Use to the HQ and GemFan that sell for significantly less.
Can you use the stock mounting screws with the HQ 2016-3 Neo?
Any other not requiring mod or non-stock screws?
If the "out of stock" at store.dji continue? Aftermarket might be the only options. Problem is eventually batteries lose too much capacity or totally croak. Bad time to trash goggle or controller or just trash the Neo if you didn't purchase a back up.
Not only DJI. Missed out a pair of mid level binoculars(Zeiss Conquest HD 8x30) that I've been lusting for. Shops were selling for few hundred dollars less than their replacements. The HDXs. Now inventory of the HDXs seem low. Was waiting for a "sale", but missed the last "deals"on the HDs. Tariff scarcity? Hit the buy button. Pulled funds from the grader/scraper (aka land plane) funds. Which also increased from $1420 to $1590. Made in KS, but probably imported steel? Glad I purchased a 2nd Neo a few months ago. Just don't drop the FPV RC3 or Goggle3.

Yes, you can. These props are Neo specific. The same parameters too. 2" with 1.6" pitch. Original screws should be used and no mods needed.

Out of stock is only in the U.S. In EU everything is available. What else, they just reduced the price on the Neo from €199 to €169
I have backup of everything. 2 Neos, 2 Avata2s, 1 G3 and 1 GN3, 1 FPV RC3 and the motion3 and a huge amount of different propellers for both and many still on the way from germany and china. I don´t worry, just don´t wanna buy any more drones. Have 4 batteries for the Neo and 2 for the A2. These are enough for me for a while I guess
