I like to try new props. The Neo is still new, so I think it takes some time, till Master Airscrew presents someting. I've found a shorts, someone trying GemFan D51 propellers. Much quieter.

Seems quieter, or at least a different pitch. I'll let you test them and report back to the group :)

Quieter... nice!

At the same rpm, the frequency of the pitch will be 5/3 of the pitch with the OEM props.

If they are GEMFANS its a no brainer!

I like gemfans. I use 75s on my Tello with very good results.
I consider buying a pack of 5 blade neon green and blue 4 blade for the neo.
Just placed the order. The 2 packs with s&h was 12€.

Looks like it won't be an easy task, because they cane without screws and the original ones are too short.
But it would look like thisIMG_20240924_145042.jpg

I always find things like this puzzling. I mean, didn't they try them on an actual Neo? Or was it straight from CAD to production? 🙄

No, it actually not for neo. For 2 inch whoops. 51mm, but I think they won't fit without modification. Those whoop motors are different from dji. Or try to get longer screws.

You could try to carefully drill a tiny bit deeper in each hole...

I think the guy, who made this shorts, did the same. I just don't have those precision tools. Not a big deal actually. I made a screenshot from the shorts, zoomed it and looks like, there was some d.i.y.

Okay. If you decide to try, do not use the driver for the bit... Just hold it in your hand and turn it slowly and carefully, checking frequently. You can always take more, you can't put any back 😁

I can't tell if it's any quieter but it's definitely a different pitch. I wonder if they have something in ♭ or c#?

This shouldn't be a problem. The screws are certainly a common size (M2, M3, etc.) and are readily available. At least in the US, you can get "kits" of hundreds of small screws on Amazon for around $10US.

I can hear a slight pitch difference, but not convinced it is an improvement. Both are quite irritating!
I have seen some reviews where the noise quality improves a lot if you take the prop guards off. I'm a bit reluctant to do this though, so will put up with the whine.

I haven't installed these props yet, because I have no screws for that. The originals too short.
I already posted weeks ago, why it's important to take off propeller guards and linked an instructional vid for noob pilots. It's not only the noise, but also more flight time and more wind resistance and a little more speed too. I don't understand people, who keep on flying outdoors with guards on...

With 5 years under my belt flying FPV whoops, I can say with utter confidence 95% of the protection comes from the ducts. The detachable cages over the top serve pretty much only to protect from inadvertent contact with fingers.

When jamming around away from people, take 'em off.

I had removed them to fly outdoors and forgot to put them back when later flying indoors, broke a prop and they totally would have avoided it.
