Mine was scheduled to arrive on Wednesday, but it came TODAY! Charging batteries now.
Congrats!Mine was scheduled to arrive on Wednesday, but it came TODAY! Charging batteries now.
I have been using drones for business for over 10 years. I bought this one to have fun with it.Congrats!
Although it’s been available here in Canada for almost a month now, I am still trying to determine whether it will be suitable for me and be able to complement my other two main drones for photography/video.

Being that the connection between the cell phone and Neo is WiFi, it needs a data connection to communicate with the DJI servers in order to activate the unit. DJI requires its devices to be activated.Mine has finally arrived!!! Wooo hoooo…
Loaded up the batteries with juice… everything ready except….. it want cell signal to activate and update? We have zero cell service where I live.. I use my starlink with my cell phones, and the unit want me to make a wifi connection and a cell connection to update and activate… sheesh… perhaps the app on my computer will work and do the update so I can get activated and paired..
I think the Neo is really intended to get those quick shots with fast deployment as the size of the unit makes it convenient to carry in a pouch or pocket.Congrats!

Can you not activate it the same way you activated your previous DJI drone? As far as I know it is the same process.Mine has finally arrived!!! Wooo hoooo…

For others that are new to drones, the Neo will be a gateway drone into deciding whether to go down the FPV path (upgrade to the Avata series) or photo/videography (upgrade to Mini Pro or Mavic series).
I agree.
I am interested in it for its tracking functionality in tight spaces, for low flying along a forest floor, and for tracking me while biking on trails or kayaking.

Yeah, I think we'll definitely see a Neo Pro. Hover's X1 Pro Max looks interesting spec wise, but I don't like the aesthetic as much. The prop protection makes it look like a little box fan that folds in half. The X1 Pro specs doesn't look much better than the Neo, with the same size 1/2" image sensor and it doesn't even shoot in 10-bit, and it's three times more expensive. Sure it has some collision avoidance built in to it, but the Neo is a far better value. As I've wishfully speculated here several times, the Neo Pro, which doesn't even have rumor status yet, is coming in response to the Hover X1 Pro and Pro MAX, and I predict that's when everyone's gonna want to gear up for FPV with it.
