Hi. I have followed a couple YouTube threads on how to set up the NEO 2 to fly manually. I have set up the NSM switch and reset the switch to allow the manual mode. I also set the rates etc to what others have used. When flying it is like the sticks are in mud, the quad moves around but very poorly-no energy, no feeling of control and it will not flip.
I have been practicing on a sim for months and and was expecting it to be a handful at first.
What am I missing here? Thanks in advance.
John

When you switch to M do you put the stick where it wants to actually switch and get the M in the goggles? To flip you also need to disable the attitude limit.

Thanks for contributing. I see the green markings for the sticks but thought you just move the throttle to the lowest position. Then this afternoon I saw a video and the guy held the stick on the green then full M kicked in. I will try this later. It seems like I am only in partial M.

Yeah when you switch to M you're first in "waiting for user to put the sticks in the right place" because it's the correct point for the switch to happen without the aircraft instantly either falling down or flying off. Gotta hold it there a second without moving, then only does it actually switch.

FINALLY! I am flying manual. What a difference.
Thanks Kilrah for confirming what I had to do.

The Neo 2 does quite fine with manual mode. Have fun.

I increased my rates and it flips and rolls quickly and easily.
