Lanyard for RC-N3

Never was much for lanyards, and the attachment at the bottom of the RC1/2 makes it worse than no lanyard at all, as your hands get tired countering the pitch-forward force.

Then I saw this, and got one. I absolutely adore this accessory! Now my hands are less tired than with no lanyard at all, and I can let go of the RC or one-hand it as needed.

STARTRC Balance Lanyard for DJI RC 2 / RC/RC Pro

The balancing hardware is available without the lanyard as well for about half the price.

Only thing I would change is eliminating the little short strings the lanyard clips to. Why didn't they just forge/machine nice big solid loops to clip directly to where the strings are tied in?

They're annoying when you're NOT using a lanyard. Wrote STARTRC about this, maybe we'll see a newer version.
Those strings look like they would be in the way of my hands. The heels of my hands rest on the edges of the transmitter ("controller") when flying. Actually, it appears that my hands would cover a good portion of the upper corners of the display as well on that particular controller.

My lanyards all connect to a single point in between the sticks, which wouldn't balance properly with the screen on that controller.

I have one of those attached to my Air 2s,s controller they work ok but You can only put the phone in one direction or the buttons on the sides of it will get depressed. and the screen will go blank. the only other reason I don't get anouther one is you have to remove it everytime you put the controller in your case if you have the controller cutout because the antenna will not fully go down. Other then that its great and does what it should.
I hate lanyards!!! I never fly without one.

Designing such a beast is near impossible because the weight of the phone is an unknown.
I don’t need it to hold the controller plus phone level, just something to hold it while I get my backpack off or need my hands free.

I ordered one of these. It looks like it fits in space where antenna goes and it seems like you can still collapse the antenna/phone holder properly

Mine is built differently and it slides on to the front plastic part of the controller and has a small rail that holds your phone when attached Thats a far better design

Is yours like the one in my initial post? Today I was out on some trails with the controller. It was a pain not being able to let go of the controller (even if it dangles) just to swap batteries. I am hoping the one I ordered (post #24) can stay on the controller with the phone clamp/antenna retracted and still fit in my case.

Mine is a sunnylife it just slides on the plastic But yea mine won't let the antenna fully close the little phone holders on the top of the antenna hit the bottom rail. So I have to take it off to get the radio in its little cutout not a big deal at all it would be nice to just leave it on tho.

That looks like the one I initially posted about in post #1.

I ordered the lanyard/holder combo I posted about in post #24. Haven’t had a chance to try it yet but it looks like it will work well. My phone and controller are well balanced.

The attachment piece fits it the hole that the antenna retracts into and seems to be sturdy. The antenna can be pushed in but not all the way in. I can still fit the RC-N3 in its case snugly, but I have to take the cable that connects to the phone out when the antenna is retracted.

The strap that came will it is cheap but for CAN$11 I’m not complaining.
