Bit too cold today at a -31C windchill to enjoy the outdoors. Indoors NEO session. With the Avata2 you can disengage the "landing protection" in the Advance Safety submenu. Allows you to fly as low as you dare. Requires a bit of stick skill to land smoothly, but allows for quicker landing if needed. Landing skill is similar to non-DJI Angle mode.

Never bothered to check to see if an option for the Neo. Rarely fly indoors with the Neo. It's not. Would be nice. If you keep moving above a certain minimum sog, the auto landing will not kick in. Fine if you have space when exiting your low flight under whatever. With the FPV RC3 you can override the auto landing with a light throttle stick bump. Could have used the Avata2's disengage option today. Bit too much of a throttle bump flying under the dining room table. Ended up pancaking Neo on the underside with a too aggressive throttle bump. Made it under the even lower living room coffee table but proceeded to almost run into the wall. Had to hit the "brakes". Too slow. Auto landing engaged.

Thinking with the Neo's autonomous flying modes there might be an issue to enable the Avata2 disengage feature. Or no one but me wishes for such a feature to fly under low objects at lower speeds.

I haven't flown the NEO inside but I'm aware of the "bump" on the stick to keep it from landing.

Most of my flights have been under 20 feet while buzzing around about a foot from the ground in the yard.

The "LANDING" announcement chimes in and I give the stick a bump. 👍

No setting exposed for it but you can disable it the usual way with DH parameter edits, I always do so with all my DJI aircraft. Was actually surprised to see it return as a user-selectable setting on the Avata 2 since it's been gone from everything else for so long.

Could not find any option in the DJI FLY App. Are you using DJI Assistant? Don't think DJI Assistant is available at the Mac Apple App store. So assuming not an authorized developer. Would need to by pass Gatekeeper and in general not real fond of any DJI software.

DH == Drone Hacks. Gotta purchase it, but allows tweaking all sorts of stuff on any DJI drone, and on some models could remove NFZ (no longer needed), 500m altitude restriction, and more.
