I recently began long walks with my neo and have been switching as many as 3 batteries in a row without stopping in follow mode. Should a take a second neo to allow for cooling for the drone so I can keep going or is this even a concern. I’m trying not to carry more than I need to such as a second neo.

I don't think it is a problem unless it gets so hot you can't hold it

I've got 4 batteries, fly them one after another and no problems.

Have been flying 6 batteries in a row for awhile. Hard throttle hits flying manual mode end up to be short flight times. Six batteries is good enough for one session. Eyeballs and brain starts to fatigue. Then bad things happen. So far, no issues with the Neo. Still flying the original Neo. Back up is in storage. Neo is tough little quad. So far, just scratches and a few propellers needing replacement.

I do let the batteries settle down for a minimum of 20 minutes before recharging to storage level. Something I've always done with lipo and now with these DJI lithium ions.
