Hey everyone, is anyone else incredibly frustrated by the "two ecosystems" problem with the Neo 2?

I bought the premium Motion Combo (Goggles N3 + RC Motion 3) expecting to get the absolute most out of this drone. The FPV flying is amazing, but I was shocked to find out that using the goggles completely locks you out of the drone's core AI tracking features (like drawing a box to track a car or orbit a building).

To use the 12 m/s ActiveTrack that DJI heavily advertises, you are forced to go buy a separate RC-N3 controller and fly via your phone screen.

The Neo 2 clearly has the internal hardware and processing power to handle smart tracking. Clearly it's possible with phone app and maybe the motion 3 controller it's the most expensive combo for the Neo 2.

DJI, if you are reading this: Please release a firmware update that brings the FocusTrack/ActiveTrack interface to the Goggles. Let us use the drone to its full potential without needing to swap between two entirely different controller setups!
Upvote if you are in the same boat so we can get R&D's attention!

Sorry to hear of your problem, and I know how frustrating things can get. It is very unlikely that anyone from DJI will ever read this. I suggest contacting them directly or through their forum

If anyone else has a solution without buying other controllers, I would be very interested. Maybe someone has a workaround

There is no workaround, and it is exceedingly unlikely they will invest the engineering to make a User Interface for the goggles presentation enabling this functionality. It's a rather complex feature that has never been implemented in any of the goggles version of DJI Fly, and my educated guess (software development background) it isn't simple to implement it.

Your best path to getting this -- not the answer you want -- is to give in and get an RC, either the RC-N3 or the RC2. Many of us have extra new, unused copies of either or both of these controllers, and might be willing to cut you a good deal.
