Can 2 people with their own controllers fly their own dji neo's at the same time?

Thanks Kilrah, for a friend of mine and I tried to fly our NEO's together and his went crazy. We were thinking they got some interference from each other and were leery to try it again. We'll be trying it again today. :)

Each Neo is "linked" to a specific controller. If using Goggle3 or N3 the link is with the goggles. Your actual tx/rx. Were you using a smart phone as a controller or RC2?

When I purchased the 2nd backup Neo I thought it would automatically after linking with the Goggle3 back and forth with Neo#1. No go. When selecting quad in the goggle menu there is only one Neo listed. The one last linked. Have to re link the previous Neo. Just a backup for after I trash, crash Neo#1. So no big deal.

When switching "controllers". That is from FPV RC3 to MC3. The system automatically switches. Only connects to the first one powered up even if you turn on the other.

If using Goggle3 and probably N3 there is an option in the Menu to switch from auto to a specific channel. If you and your friend are still having issues. Select manual and different channels. Auto supposedly switches frequencies for the strongest signals. Neo at least relative to the Avata2 flown has limited range and signal penetration. Realistically a true LOS UAS. Signal drop can happen fast. Both RX and VX. Changes in conditions such as dense foliage v. bare trees or obstructions can significantly effect the Neo's ability to maintain a solid connection. Something to consider if switching to manual channel selection. Make sure your RTH parameters are set to avoid RTH into an obstruction.

Hi NeoNeo, appreciate your detailed reply. You asked "Were you using a smart phone as a controller or RC2" and to be honest I cannot rember but we were using either the DJI RC-N3 Remote Controller or the Goggles 3 and RCMotion3. My friend may have been using the RC 2 controller.

You said "when using Goggle3 and probably N3 there is an option in the Menu to switch from auto to a specific channel" which I didnt know. I'm going to tell my friend too. Good info for sure.

So thanks again, we will try your suggestions and use your information.

We went out today and didnt have any problems. I did notice a message in my googles that said "interference detected" when he flew hid Avata over me, but I had no loss of control of the drone.

We were also thinking maybe he didn't have enough satellites before taking off because his drone went crazy as soon as he took off.

Thanks again for the help and suggestions. There really appreciated!
