Fiscal year end bonuses to DJI marketing people? Guessing one marketing goal of the Neo was to introduce people to DJI. JMHO, the $199usd is a good value for a 04 digital video platform. Will be interesting what the 04 std stand alone kit goes for when released. Just google 03 Air. Selling for $179. Ouch!! We get a complete BNF with 04 for another $20.

For some autonomous selfie drone is all they want. For others..... "Gateway" to purchasing other DJI 04 compatible hardware and future releases. DJI hooked me with the Avata2 Fly More kit. Then the need for traditional stick controller. Another $299. None of my similar to identical size and pitch GemFan, HQ propellers fit the Avata2. More $$s. Might as well add the Neo. More $$s. Now the need for spare propellers, additional batteries....

Some of us are funding the DJI Marketing bonus.

I had money saved for my Drone purchases I've been making because of retirement. Did this instead of taking a trip to celebrate. Two days ago I added a FPV rc3 to the mix to go with the Avata 2 and neo. I almost asked for an intervention from members on this site but then I realize it could be worse LOL

The irony... I'm only into it for whatever the cost of the US Combo ($280?), as I already have everything else from owning an Avata 2 (with the FPV RC3).

So now I get a email with a running video list of instructions and details on the Avata 2, I just wish they would have sent it right after I bought it. It looks like a great drone.
