When powering up the neo and using my goggles 3 it takes a while before I get a good strong sat connection, always has. It does connect and stays that way without problems it just takes a few minutes and can be annoying and time consuming. Well thumbing down thru the drone connection guide I noticed 3 neo listings. I have three btw so I chose neo #2 on the listing and sat connection was instant. It’s never done that before. I’ve never checked for a 1,2,3 listing on the drone page for the neo and have always just connected to the first one. Is this what’s caused the sluggest connection because I’ve seen others complain about it taking so long as well?

I only have the one Neo.
It takes up to 1.5 minutes to get full connection most times.
Telling it to connect to one specific drone for time savings seems unlikely.
You may have choices but only the one connected will connect.
It shouldn't keep looking for other connections that don't exist.
If it does it should only take nanoseconds to do so.

Strictly opinion based on how other types of equipment works.

I have 15 possible connections to bluetooth on my phone.
If it checked the 14 others for signal not being sent it would take all day to connect to the one with signal.
Same for wifi connections in the house or other devices.

Gps connection is not instant on anything I've used and most things take less connections than drones to be usable.

But I do wish it was faster.
Time waiting is flight time lost with such small batteries.

It would be cool to see a "task manager" type interface of what its doing and when / for how long.

It does seem to get gps lock faster airborne but you'd have to update home point before flying so no real time savings there.

Gps lock on anything in my area takes time on most things.
I remember my Garmin GPS took about as long as the Neo.
Even Autopylot and Air Control, Google Maps etc are slow sometimes.

And so many dead spots here.

Are we there yet, are we there yet?

Where is it? Where you can switch drones? I see both of my Neos and Avatas in the dji fly app, in the device management...

On the sidebar for the connection. I have my neo’s numbered 1,2,3 in order of purchase this is on the drones themselves for ref. not on the sidebar. I have to check it out some more but after flying yesterday it didn’t come up as quick as the day before. I think what might have happened was connecting in house checking the settings, then turning everything off and then flying later in the day outside and it must of had everything it needed to connect quickly. I don’t know. I’ve tried everything to get it connect quicker like looking up or making sure I wasn’t near a roof or tree to speed things up. Not a big deal, but I was hopeful I’d found a faster connection method was all. I fly different drone models during the course of the day and I think maybe that’s what happened.
