I think these work together but I would like to make sure before any money is spent.

This would mean using sticks instead of the rc motion 3 controller.

Thanks in advance.

DJI Neo technology allows you to either use the DJI RC-N3, DJI RC-N2, or DJI RC 2 smart controller with a built-in screen, or pair DJI Neo with DJI Goggles 3, RC Motion 3, or the FPV Remote Controller 3 for immersive FPV flights, and use the motion controller to conduct aerial acrobatics.

I think goggles 3 can be used with the RC2 and Air 3 and M4P. When the goggles are connected, the RC2 screen is black.

Haven't heard anywhere – DJI, rumors, etc. – that the neo is supported with this configuration, doubt it works at this time, and sorry to say I'm pessimistic DJI will support it in the future.

Given the primary target market, I'm guessing they don't want the headaches in support.

No, if you want to use the Goggles 3 you need either the MC3 or the FPV RC 3.

No. The goggles connect to the drone and won't find the RC n3 controller.

The FPV controller doesn't work with the DJI fly app on the smartphone either.

In the beginning the app asks which way you wanna connect. Smartphone only, rc remote or goggles + FPV controller. Can't be mixed.

That’s good information, thanks. I wasn’t aware of the details of how FPV all worked. I was also under the impression that you could use the N3 controller like the FPV controller with the goggles.
