Here's a "follow" above and near winding around some picnic structures at the beach. The Neo does a remarkable job tracing the path I take, not just keeping me in frame with a more independent, OA driven path like Active Track on the big boys. Remarkable.

Also, there are some color issues with the camera. This video was evening, near sunset, and the camera was way oversaturated. I included one second of raw footage at the beginninging, you can pause it there to see the color balance. Then, it repeats and continues with my quick color grading.

Two other comments I'll add for general video production... Always add a soundtrack, usually music. Also, you'll notice some unrelated clips mixed in at appropriate places, good to add to break things up, keeps it more interesting, people will be much more inclined to watch the whole thing. Use your imagination and be creative!

I find the NEO tracking from behind to be excellent. It works perfectly for one of the reasons why I purchased it. It's much better than I thought it would be. I am a bit concerned about it being able to track me well when the snow starts coming. When I tried flying my Tello over snow a few years ago, it was all over the place and kept wanting to land because the VPS could not find a suitable surface. I usually have NEO track at about head level so if GPS fails which often happens, then how well it can hold its position and track me is something I guess I will find out soon.

As an aside, does the new Air 3S have AI tracking built in so that if it were used in scenarios like the NEO, will it follow your path?

Chris

Big difference is the Neo has GPS in addition to VPS for positioning, so hopefully if VPS goes haywire it will fall back to GPS.
