My old Neo is still in top condition, but bought today another one. To have a reserve if something goes wrong, because I fly my drones only FPV. I removed the bottom prop guards a while ago from the old one and today, just after activation from the new one too. Clean airflow: less noise, better acceleration. Highly recommended for all. I use a double sided nail file to carefully remove the remains.IMG_20250702_135749.jpg

I bet it was hard to make that first cut. I bet it will really zip along in manual mode now!

No. I enjoyed it. I hated that cage. Now both my Neos look a little more like my Avatas.

I can see now where that would make a difference.

It does make a difference. Not significant, but still. One piece flew away, could´t find. I placed them side by side to show that it´s actually kind a large surface that´s in the airflow. And easier to change propellers...

Those are rookie cuts. I have also removed 10 screws from the chassis. Stickers gone. I've logged a 19 minute hover time before removing the screws. I'm to the point that I want to sand the entire body to remove material and leave it completely 1000005748.jpg

I want to completely sand and polish the body, mainly to remove material. I am interested in weighing it as well. Plus I have kept everything that I have removed to weigh that as well. The more weight you remove, the neo becomes increasingly more stable. All of my other drones twitch when holding position, this neo is frozen 100 percent in place, its very impressive to see. Plus it's still incredibly rigid, I won't crash it, but I am confident that it can survive 95 percent of what a factory neo can.

I was thinkin about cutting out those outside arms too, but cancelled the plan. It´s fine how it is now. I love this mod. The drone flies faster, quieter and has longer battery life. And looks better...
