Neo and the RC2

So got the Neo ordered… but for me, the big question is, will the Neo eventually be compatible with the RC2 controller.. I can’t see why it would be a hard thing to do. They run the same occusync 4. The RC2 already works out of the box with the goggles 3 also.. and I already have both.

Good luck pairing the rc2, I tried everything and wasted 2 hours easy and went thru all three batteries trying everything. Had a hard time just activating it. I have a few DJI and never any problems activating or pairing, this one has been a huge headache and it just got here at 4pm. I’ll try DJI tech support tomorrow. If I can’t get it paired its being returned. I’m not flying with the silly cell phone app and the preprogrammed and no controller, nope!

Just tried that again 4x, no luck. Firmware up to date, WiFi connected, drone activated . I did this pairing 25x just as instructed. It figures, the least expensive drone they sell gives the biggest headaches.

Latest update, after 1 hour and 35 minutes with DJI live chat tech support they wanted me to send this in for them to look at it. I told them after waiting a month and hours wasted trying to get this paired I just want my money back. Now I need to wait more, they said a shipping label will be emailed within 24 hours. No printer here, so I email the shipping label to my sister 50 miles away and she mails me the printer return label. Hope y’all have better luck than I did.

What a disappointment. I sure hope mine doesn't do this when I get it... I may have to angrily fly my Avata 2 for, like, 20 batteries...

Had to send my Avata 2 back for replacement to the retailer. The camera quit working and DJI wanted it sent in for them to look at it. I told the retailer it was not a month old and I wanted a brand new unopened Avata 2 flymore package, not a repair or refurbished replacement. So I’m waiting on B&H Photo to replace the A2. They show it’s backordered and waiting “FedEx expedited delivery”. Who knows when I’ll get it.

just checked with CS at b&h, no known date for the backordered avata 2 arrival. So they issued me a full refund. I can’t wait for an unknown date. Been waiting 2 weeks as it is.

That’s very strange. Mine paired up with my RC2 in less than a minute and I can switch between my mini 4 pro, Neo and Avata 2 really easily.

The DJI tech had me check and see if it would pair to my air 3 and it did immediately. I think it’s a software issue,tech wanted me to access DJI assist 2 using a computer, I don’t have a pc.

Just ordered an Avata 2 from DJI, they say ETA Oct. 8th. I’ll get another Neo when Amazon has them and give it a second shot. If the next one don’t pair with the goggles 3 and rc2, I’ll just forgetaboutit.

Can fully agree here. My Neo also paired without any problems with my RC2 (from M4P FMC package). And there is no need for re-pairing if using the Goggles 3 and RC3 and vice versa.

Yeah, it's much better than it used to be when everytime you changed drone you had to repair, now you can just switch over, even on the goggles3. It's great. OP has been very unlucky and it looks like there's a fault somewhere. Hopwfully they get it sorted.

sounds like you got a lemon. With the amount of units that are produced, its bound to happen. Not that this makes you feel any better. I hope your next one will work as flawlessly as it seems to be working with most people.
