N3 Goggles vs Goggles 3

Looks like I'll be ordering a Goggles 3 to go with the collection. Up till now I haven't had the time or the attitude to fly very much due to family issues. I feel the goggles n3 works pretty good, but for me it's not enough. I think I've seen enough reviews about the goggles 3 on youtube to be convinced that I'd be happier using it for the majority of my FPV flying. I'm very impressed with the Avata 2 from yesterday's flight. I'll probably add another neo as well. Another advantage would be the compatibility with my Air 3S .

That's great news as of the last I heard, the A3"S" was not yet compatible but promised to be according to DJI.
Have you tested it?

I like both

No I haven't, I've just been flying with my rc 2. I'll wait until it's a sure thing (no bugs) from others testing it if and when it becomes available before using the A3S model.

I was never a goggles fan until I was.

I tried out someone's Avata 2 one day and became hooked.

The Motion Controller soon bored me, and now I hit the simulator hard and am hooked on Manual/Acro mode, although this is only for a Pavo 20 Pro. My Avata and Neo still get the motion controller.

The Goggles 3 is excellent. I have a much better chance seeing branches and wires with its high quality digital imaging.

I think you will be quite happy with them.

I worded that poorly.

I didn't mean you cannot do Manual/Acro mode with the NEO and Avatas. I meant that I don't use them for it.

The Pavo 20 Pro does it much better, can get itself out of trouble easier with me being at this time an OK FPV flyer and also I have already repaired it 2 times after crashes.

If I Manual/ Acro the Neo or Avata 2, I am very conservative with them since I am in the US and have no Care for the NEO since Care was canceled by DJI, and have already used 1 Care Replacement on the Avata 2 after it crashed due to me being unable to recover and crash after some Manual/Acro.

So for me at this time, I use the Motion Controller on the Neo and Avata 2 and get my fix for Acro with the Pavo 20 Pro.

Okay

So this is what manual flying is all about. I purchased a third neo for this setting but have never tried it. I can see where it would speed up wear and tear flying in this mode, but man it’s so impressive!!!

Still don't understand the multiple neos, just fly the one, IF you break it which is quite difficult get another, easy,

Guess it's a good thing overall since more sales means more likeliness of the range being maintained...

My thinking was using the third neo for manual flying only and using the first two for flying with my rc2 and FPV flight without the super speed settings of manual mode. I knew it would be more intense but man I just didn’t realize you could fly a neo like that. I’ll make sure any manual flying I do will be with the same drone each time because it does look like faster wear and tear is likely with this mode of flying. As far as just buying another in the future not likely for me, I’ll be satisfied with using up what I’ve got.

I love it!
Here comes RcHawks with his squadron of Neos. Clear the sky's, they're everywhere. 🤯

Yep, I've got OCD too.
I've got my batteries numbered 1-5. First charged first used.

A place for everything and everything in its place.

It's gonna be awhile before I flip the switch to manual. But I will before I'm ready. It's just the way it works!

He is not alone... I have 2 Neos. And two Avata2s too... 😂 But one of each brand new, never flew outside. Just checked them indoors. They have 0 km flight distance and 1 minute flight time. They are stored without batteries and propellers. On the A2 the lense protector foil still attached. And last year I had 5 Tello drones at the same time. There were drones everywhere....

Not to mention, have 25 sets of propellers for the Neos and 15 for the Avatas... 😎

Well, I don´t really care. I make a decent money with my job. Can afford these things. But it´s not only the drones... Have 4 sport watches. 2 Garmins and 2 Suuntos. The bands are compatible within one brand, so I have a lot of silicone bands in many colors., just like propellers for my drones...
