Here in Brazil we call this a “gambiarra” (makeshift). More than once the ND filter came loose from the magnet and I had to look for it on the floor, now I put a drop of silicone glue to try to reinforce the fixation, time will pass and I will know if it helps.

Similar experience. Just using the UA filter to protect the camera lens from scratches. But... Discovered in hard crashes the Freewell magnet rings does not hold the filter on. Guessing based on how easy it is to slide off that is what can happen. Luckily it was sitting right next to the downed Neo and I saw it by pure chance. Wish they used some rare earth, neodyn. magnets. Filter might still too easily slide off. But maybe not. The Freewell kit of UA, CPL, mist filter were ~$19 at amazon. So not super expensive loss, but still $$s

Plan is to maybe just put a drop or two of hot melt glue on the edge of the filter. You can easily break the bond of hot glue with 70% isopropyl alcohol. No mess left after breaking the bond.
