My old photo bag became too small for all the stuffs, so I decided to buy another, a little bigger one. But I just found this semi-hard shell backpack. It was 2nd hand, but in a very nice shape. Originally designed to carry Phantoms, but the inside elements can be taken out and reorganize at will. I paid €35, new price €149.99 I like it very much.

Nice!

I have a Phantom 3 Pro that hasn't worked in years, but is in it's nice hardshell DJI branded backpack. I can take the fitted hard foam out (phantom 3 specific) - I wish I had an easy way to repurpose it for neo and avata FPV bag... I feel like DJI or a 3rd party could make a buck making inserts for those old backpacks, I am sure people have them out there, and would be nice to use it still. Pick and pluck like for pelican cases might work I just haven't gone that way yet.

I know, what you mean. I had that bag to the mavic mini. There´s no way, that you can reuse it for an other model.... But I like to use what I already have and general purpose items too. I have a photo bag, fits the neo, a goggles, the fpv rc and in the side pockets the battery hub and to the other side the motion rc. But the avata not. I also have a cheap soft case bag originally bought for my sport watches on aliexpress. I tried and exactly the size of the A2. I love it. The 2nd one is on the way.
Finding this backpack was really a luck. I can put in everything (2 neos, 2 a2s, 2 goggles, controllers, propellers and basic tools.)

I did find a nice case for $19 on AliExpress that holds everything for the Neo

And thanks to the overlap in the communities of Drones, and 3D printing there is a lot of .stl's out there specific to anyones drone's to print. So I found a descent box to print for the Avata2 that works well.

But it still would be nice to use that old DJI Hardshell backpack! haha.

Nice one.

I just had enough carrying many bags... Back in the days, I had a spark and a mini1. Both in cases, together with the dronemask into one big trekker backpack...
To be honest, I started to lose interest in drones lately. Beside the Neo/A2 stuffs, I had 2 ELRS controllers, a dronemask, a analog goggles with many antennas, Tello drones, chargers, wifi extenders etc... Drone stuffs everywhere. What I have now, basically this bp and propellers, stay. I´m very happy, that they are in one place. I sold everything else in the last couple of months.

@Christian absolutely something to be said for convenience of these things (Neo/Avata2), I love how easy it is to just open the briefcase and rip 5 batteries that last a long time with the Neo, and the thing is fun and capable - I probably fly the Neo 9/10 more often than the Avata2 if I am being honest, since my yard has a lot of trees and obstacles and the Neo is just perfect for yard surfing and having fun :) The Avata2 I'll take wherever there is a bit more open area, and beautiful scenery. I do match the rates for both, and in the sims.

Not sure if this would help, but there is a company in the USA that builds custom foam inserts for cases (or backpacks).

If you have an idea, you could layout the insert on the website and have something unique that would work.

Not sure what the shipping costs would be, but it's basically a box of air.

@okayest.fpv I´ve been doing this for years now. Started approx 5 years ago with a tello + VR goggles and BT gamepad. Than I bought a spark fmc, + Litchi app, because it was VR compatible, than a mini1. I like long range cuising. I used parabola reflectors for better signal. Dronemask later. I´m somewhere 400 km+ altogether. Do it for chillout. I was about to change for analog FPV, but could get the 2 avatas from an other pilot for low price, bought one more neo and one more goggles. So, I stayed with dji. I like these drones. Bought the 1st neo almost a year ago. I´ll keep these things for a long time, but won´t buy new things. Also have a huge amount of different propellers for both. From sept I´ll fly them again, now they´re just collecting dust at home.
