I got the Neo since I'm trying to get into digital and wanted to try the DJI system. I like flying in acro with the drones I build. I try flying in manual mode with this drone and in about 5 seconds it will go back to normal mode and won't go back to manual mode. I stop and restart the drone and it keeps doing it again. I need help. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Is there something I need to do in the settings? I really need some help with this one.

Your auto mode switching happens fast. Guessing not the same issue I've experienced. Just similar result.

Unsure if just a glitch with the Neo I use. When flying manual mode after a set combination of distance and altitude Neo auto switches to N mode. Red warning box OSD notes too far and or too high. At a local field(flat terrain) I am flying below the tree line and can fly ~200 meters from launch pad without issues. When I've flown at our alpine ski area at a similar altitude but hugging the rising profile at about the same range but due to altitude relative to launch pad the Neo auto changes to N mode. I need to fly back downhill to reset to Manual mode. Bit of an experiment flying at home. More or less straight up in Manual mode. Don't remember hitting the 120meter limit before the Neo auto mode switched to N mode. Not an issue with the Avata2 using the same Goggle3 and FPV RC3.

Not RC or Video signal strength related. Full bars. Personally not a big deal. Neo for me is just a LOS, low flying, dodge the obstructions quad.

You should get a message when that happens, what does it say? Can you fly normally in other modes or are you distance limited? Sounds like the "not logged in" issue.

N and S modes are only limited by the 120 meter max altitude relative to launch home and RC and Video strength. IIRC, did a flight of ~1.8km at sub 30 meter altitude along the frozen shoreline of the local beach last winter before rc and/or video signal strength weaken. Down the ~1/4km driveway that has a few curves and is in the middle of a solid forest of mostly red oak trees the signal goes yellow to red at the mailbox when the trees are bare.

Never have "logged" in beyond activating and when updating the firmware. Both the Avata2 and Neo. Friend flies a MiniPro4 and occasionally has to re-log in. It only has C,N,and S modes. IIRC, he noted either limited range or could not fly.
