But can't find good information on what is used for a controller...is it just a phone?...or do any of the other controllers such as RC-2 or MC from Avata work with it?
Control methods: Standalone via built-in push-button interface, virtual Joysticks on DJI Fly on phone, voice control via Fly, RC-N2, RC-N3, RC2, Goggles 3 with MC3 or FPV3.
Voice and standalone are limited to automation which is close-in, virtual Joysticks via direct wifi connection from smartphone have very limited range, like 100ft. The stick controllers and Goggles connect with O4, and have much greater range.
With a stick controller or Goggles, it's got a mini Avata 2 personality. With standalone or wifi control, according to the manual you must change your name to Crystil or Meringue, and post your footage to a teen social media site.
We have a firm commitment from DJI that additional name choices to post under are coming in a future firmware release. Personally I've been advocating for Cosette and Euphemia.
@MARK (LI) the Neo will work with any device using the Occusync 4 and also the goggles 3 and the hand held controller and the FPV contoller from the Avata 2
