Had the same thing happen to me today on my second flight while in manual mode. Mine flew backwards at full throttle into the woods after switching to sport mode. Good thing the C1 button on the FPV controller was already programmed for the beeper or I never would have found it. I am avoiding manual mode until there is an update.

Love the quad!!!!

No I didn’t have time. Will be tomorrow but everything I see and read tells me this little guy is tough. And great video through the goggles.

Took it back out for a quick 8 minute flight---all 3 modes flying FPV and it flew like a dream. No issues at all. Just don't bump into anything in manual mode. Not as quick as the Avata 2 but I didn't expect it to be. Lots of fun and beats the heck out of the Cetus X I had. Very easy to fly in all 3 modes but it is not a freestyle bird. Loops and rolls are not smooth. I do need to clean the plant stains off though.

😆 You sound like me and grass. I've completely disassembled my Avata to clean all the grass clippings, dirt dust, and green grime that accumulates everywhere when you go lawn mowing.
