Customs holding DJI

I was was worried that my DJI Air 3s would be hung up in customs for days to weeks, but it went right through customs in LA.
It is right on schedule with delivery scheduled for tomorrow to Seattle suburbia.

Impressions are bulk orders for retailers and guessing to the DJI USA warehouses are being delayed. . Only order from store.dji.com. Last Spring the Avata2 Fly More kit came directly from CA. Same for the FPV RC3. This past early October the Neo Fly More kit was shipped directly from China. Wondering if these individually shipped orders are being delayed?

Need at least one more battery. But if adding more than one. Thinking about a 2nd Neo combo kit. More so after yesterdays session. Me and manual mode in tighter environments. Finally broke something. 2 propellers after bouncing off an obstacle and for a moment losing the Neo. It somehow end up under the truck's running boards. Outside of bouncing off obstacles. Discovered the Neo can ricochet further than I guessed.
 
Ordered a 2nd Neo Fly More kit in early January. It arrived within 3-5 days. Shipped from China.

Do have a non-DJI piece of UAS hardware stuck in IL. Only took 3 days to get to the processing center. USPS has been waiting for release over a week . Just a $20 Tx "glove". An insulated "box" to keep the hands warm while flying on cold days.

A more common issue with our new China tariff, trade-war.....? Not just picking on DJI, but anything with origin from China? I can deal with paying the additional tariff. My choice. Delays of supposedly up to 90 days. A week yes. 90 days, no.
Sort of in need/want a 4th Avata2 battery and considering adding to the order a backup charging hub to get "free" shipping. Wonder if both products are shipped out of the CA warehouse?

Learned something new today. Ordered a tx glove box for cold weather Neo flying. eBay seller, USA address and noted ships from the USA. Not. Assumed since apparently stuck in customs. BFE Corporation was the shipper. Apparently a commonly used processor for drop-shipped items from China. Need to dig deeper when checking the eBay sellers. Just because they can state anything on their page. Paid $27, a premium price thinking purchasing from an American seller. ~$19 for the identical "glove" from a number of direct from China eBay sellers.

This is one I got years ago for my P3S controller. Can't remember where I ordered it from but I think it was from one of the Chinese retailers like Banggood. In the last few years I have used Amazon since a few items I have ordered from these retailers have either not come, haven't worked or have been broken. Amazon prices for the same or similar item are usually higher but you have more protection.

Report it to eBay/open a dispute for a partial refund.
Done on the 10th. Supposedly the latest delivery date. USPS had not and still have not received it for delivery. eBay noted I needed to contact and seller. Done. And wait until at least the 15th for further action.

No the attached image model. Supposedly a double layered semi-rigid clear viewing area. Hope is it keeps the glove off the thumb/finger. Looking for other sellers of the identical glove I found another "USA" based (not) seller. Wish eBay would make these sellers note they are just drop shippers addresses. Screen Shot 2025-01-26 at 5.15.58 PM.png Seller did note shipped from the USA. Yep, last delivery service shipped from the USA to your home. Bit deceptive.

15th arrived. eBay informed me the seller's site has been delisted. Refund processed.
Ordered same tx glove from another eBay seller. Direct from China. As of today it cleared Customs and released to the USPS.
Guess what arrived yesterday. The original ordered tx glove. Emailed the seller requesting a prepaid return shipping label and noting another unit is in transit from another eBay seller. He/She/It asked me to "reconsider" and pay for the tx glove. Nope. Send the label. Will see.

I can see a similar issue for others arising if US Custom Hold becomes the norm v. what seems to be random right now. eBay noted on the refund email notice that seller had no proof of delivery so the refund was issued.
