I haven't used mine for a bit for various reasons, I got a bit tired of the follow view and even returned to my old Spark for a bit because I haven't got a controller
for the Neo, I did consider buying the basic controller and flying without the app, I cant be bothered taking it out and booting it up and connecting the phone.

I fly the Spark appless, just using the controller, but its a lot more compact than the Neo version, they are both restricted height and distance wise, but its enough for me.

Riding the bike, I have to stop, take off my backpack, find somewhere to rest the drone, connect the phone, put my glasses on, put the back pack on again..it just puts me off bothering to do it.

The RC2 controller with screen is very expensive and very limited in drones it works with.

It would be nice if you could start the Neo in follow and then take it up to height with the controller only, well anyway I've started using the Neo again after making a pouch on the bike toptube that I can slip it into between shots

Summer (June through August) is off season for quad flying. So, no considering it's now June. Flew the Neo through 6 batteries 3 times from late April into May and the Avata2 only 2 sessions of 3 batteries when it was too windy for the Neo.

Summer into Autumn is prime windsurfing and sailing season. But this summer might be like couple seasons ago. The Canadian wildfires mess up our "normal" wind patterns. Plus the elevated AQIs. Add already major wildfires in northern MN. Not good for all. Normally I can see double digit miles out into L. Superior. Last few days have been real hazy. Shouldn't complain. It's a bit on the too dry side up here. We could be on fire. The good. No mossies. But ...Bumper crop of wood ticks.

I fly mine quite often. I i have done some Follow flights, couple using my phone to show off the little drone, and using the RC-2, but I much prefer FPV using the Goggles N3 And the Motion RC-3.

Oh, and today I got the Master Airscrew Stealth props. Not exactly Stealth, but much quieter and a much less annoying pitch.

Not much, Avata 2's getting most use.
The Neo is good for really tight quarters but that happens to be a rare case for me, most of the time for whare i fly the Avata's less limiting.

The Neo is a bit underpowered and being an under powered light weight is a bit of a challenge flying manual mode in windy conditions. Agree regarding fun in tight quarters, zipping around closely spaced obstacles. Bounces well with minimal damage if hitting an obstruction. Avata2's speed and mass make it more challenging and at greater risk for damage. When flying the Neo in open areas or above the trees it feels more than slow unless hugging the deck. Max speed was 20m/sec with a significant tail wind. Even in M mode you rarely exceed 15m/sec. Avata2 speed in S stabilized mode.

Neo fills a nice niche. Hope that the rumored Neo2 sort of replaces the discontinued DJI FPV. Sub250 with performance similar to the Avata2. Wish it would have totally removable propeller guards. Blaming the guards in both the Neo and Avata2 for the sometimes significant yaw wash, shake, drop. Not good if you don't have enough altitude to recover or switch to N/S mode.

I like the MAScrew on the Avata2 mainly for the orange color. I can find my downed Avata2 easier. Price is a bit high, but not significantly more than stock propellers. Beyond that. Nada. Based on a sound meter. Different pitch. The claimed 2dB is close at hovering speed. Not really noticeable. Passed on the Neo version. More than double the price of stock Neo propellers. ~4x the price of HQ and GemFan. HQs sound like no need to modify or use longer mounting screws. Simple direct replacement.
