QuickShots with N3 goggles and FPV controller 3

Quickshots and FollowMe are not available in FPV mode. Take the N2/N3/RC2 controller for using theese features.

Tried out the Neo with my VR Glasses

I have found out that the Neo video image is laggy if controlled by a N2/3 or RC2. Maybe caused by the additional image stabilisation for emulating a 3-axis gimbal. If using Goggles 3 or N3 with the FPV-RC3, it is very responsive and you can steer it through the tightest obstacles. I also have...

    Android + DJI Fly App

I guess yes, as it is running a 64 bit Android. But there is no guarantee which will avoid testing, as this phone is not verified by DJI.

What the FLIP? (off topic news from DJI )

Would be a step backwards form the Mini 4 pro. No obstacle avoidance sensors to the sides and rear. And actually the front shield is only shown in its function as a mode display, not as a lidar sensor.

    Neo flyaway into a lake

Even as the Neo can be flown independently without connection to your phone, you will need the Fly app at least for changing parameters and installing updates. And I am quite sure this will not work if the Neo is not bound to you account.

    Neo flyaway into a lake

In such situations the Neo usually has no GPS fix yet, so it must rely on the optical positioning system which doesn't work over water. Typical user mistake. There is a warning within the manual for not flying over water.

Satellite Reception - Hoping for a firmware update

The Neo GPS receiver is not a powerful standard chip as with the other DJI drones, but some low-cost soludtion designed by DJI themselves. Same applies to the GPS antenna. I doubt DJI will be able speeding up cold-start acquisition time significantly.

Should I bring my Neo to France?

Must correct myself: In case of a C1 drone you will also need the A1/A3 pilots certificate in any EU country.

Should I bring my Neo to France?

Regulations are identical within all EU countries. You will need an operator ID, which must also be attached to the drone and is assigned by the national aviation authority upon request, as well as drone liability insurance. It makes no difference whether the drone is a Neo or an Avata 2, as...

    Updated my Goggles 3 yesterday

Did you update the Neo, too?

What's it like to fly with Motion controller?

I cannot remommend flying the Neo indoors with the Motion Controller. As soon as it is flying into a dark space the weak bottom camera will fail and therefore positioning will fail too, making the Neo almost unconrollable and leading to a crash. The Motion Controller works best with GPS...

Has anyone got the RC2 to pair with neo?

I was out again yesterday flying the Neo with the RC2 controller. And it doesn't really make fun to me. Compared to flying the Neo with Goggles 3 and FPV-RC3 it feels sluggish and unprecise, caused by high latency. I will avoid using the RC2 in future, as well as the N2 with phone which has...

    Sattelite loss

These reflective tapes are electrically conductive and therefore are blocking GPS signals. I have measured with a multimeter for proof. And the Neo has a quite weak GPS receiver which is no standard one as with their other drones, but a self-nade one for saving some dollars. Same applies to the...

    Neo and the RC2

How did you try pairing? It was really simple for me: - Ensure the RC2 is on the latest firmware level - On the RC2 tap onto Connection Tutorial, scroll to the Neo, then go into the camera view (tap upper right corner), then open the main menu (tap the three dots upper right corner), then tap on...

    Neo and the RC2

Can fully agree here. My Neo also paired without any problems with my RC2 (from M4P FMC package). And there is no need for re-pairing if using the Goggles 3 and RC3 and vice versa.
