I haven't used mine for a bit for various reasons, I got a bit tired of the follow view and even returned to my old Spark for a bit because I haven't got a controller for the Neo, I did consider buying the basic controller and flying without the app, I cant be bothered taking it out and booting...

It tried cycling very slowly forward while performing a far circle, it got confused and tried to go back on itself halfway through. I was alone on a large flat beach so no safety issues, it actually ended up as interesting footage, snaking behind me side to side until it lost lock and hovered.

Thanks, yes I'm using hand launch only, it's strange that the main camera can see perfectly in very lowlight, but the down facing cameras need large amounts for drone safety, I'd rather it was the other way around ! Maybe shining a torch on my hand might help.

I returned to the scene of the crime with out the snow and firmware updated, tried direction track, no wind, clear sky, very cut up sand. It proceeded to follow me to the side and then drop to the floor and auto land. Fine after that, but I stuck with follow.

Yes, I've had several sand blocking the motors episodes, I just turn them manually until the crunching stops and blow the residue away. it doesn't feel like its doing major damage, sand is very fine there.

It was faultless in the first vid, but that ebmx is going faster than it looks and those crashes were actually the only ones in two hours of skimming trees.

Yes, it works very well, but only at slower speeds, if I speed up a bit it slams into every tree I pass, but survives undamaged, its just perfect.
