I've been flying DJI drones long enough to have had to renew my Part 107 certificate and have been active on the MavicPilots forum. The Neo arrived this afternoon. These things are ridiculously entertaining and marvelous. The Neo is an amazing amount of technology and function tucked into an absurdly small, light, and inexpensive gadget.
They're going to sell like the proverbial hotcakes to the millions of selfie-obsessed folks who want to see themselves on social media videos. I fear that they'll become a nuisance in public places. And I suspect they're going to prompt some modifications to the FAA regulations to address this sort of drone.
