I think about my NEO

This is how I think about my NEO: if I have a pincher dog and want it to behave like a Pitbull, I will never be happy. If I have a lizard and want it to behave like an alligator, it will only bring me trouble. But if I have a NEO and understand and accept its limitations, read its manual with pleasure (not out of obligation) and use it carefully, it will certainly bring me much joy. If I accept some scares as excitement, I will have many stories to tell (just like fishermen, some of whom don't even believe in them and even doubt them). I don't just have NEO, but I love him even more. I don't want him to set a height or distance record. I just want to distract myself and have fun.

Bit of a Neo fanboy even with the limits. Dealing with a drones limits are just part of the hobby. Not too many if any bnf drones with digital quality video image, options to fly in different flight modes and autonomous modes, robust enough to crash relatively hard with only cosmetic or propeller damage..... And price point that is acceptable. IIRC the 03 standalone video system even after DJI dropped the price below $200 was still more than just the Neo quad. Similar for the Walksnail digital video system I was considering. Goggle3 was priced to compete with non-DJI digital goggles. N3 looks to be a good value.
