I’ve never had this kind of interaction with birds until I started flying FPV. There were a few interactions here and there over the last 5 yrs but wow, it seems like every few flights I getting birds zooming at and around me. I would suppose it has a lot to do with the size of the drone because I haven’t had much of a issue when flying my A3S or A2 with birds, but I do tend to fly higher with those drones and maybe that’s a factor. I don’t mind the attention but I was never any good at tracking them as they passed because they’re so fast with the bigger drones. Using goggles affords a big advantage in that regard. What’s been your if any experience with this?

I, like you, haven't had an issue with the larger drones. And I don't fly the NEO high enough for it to be an issue. For work, I use the NEO for inside video and outside low level video. My NEO gets most of its use playing with my great granddaugther and dog :)

Since you mention work, I'm curious how you find the camera quality for professional applications. Are you using it for stills, video, or both?

Camera sensor technology has come a long way in the last ten years, and while the Neo doesn't have the largest, best sensor, it compares quite favorably against digital cameras and phones of just a few years ago. While I don't use the Neo for any professional applications, I find the quality of the results quite good in well-lighted applications, and don't usually feel the "need" to reach for the Mini 4 Pro any time I might be capturing some pics or video I want to save.

I have 2 Neos now, keep one in a case in the car at all times. Has come in pretty handy a few times with friends where the situation was well suited to nearby phone control.

I'm sure it's the size of the drone. Birds find the small neo not threatening. They might be curious, wtf is that flying object in their territory. However I try to avoid any interaction with birds at any cost. I just don't wanna bother them. I always fly very low, close to the ground, set 20m hight limit too. In my country there are regions, where flying drones prohibited when birds lay eggs.

I agree.

I have respect for birds and wildlife don’t go looking for trouble at all, but if you’re out flying and they come at you all you can do is capture the moment and move on. Their agility is impressive and I always feel outclassed in the air because I am. Some times it seems they are showing off at what they can do and how easy it is for them. I wouldn’t be surprised if they were sticking their tongues out at me as they zoom past.

I don't know. Never happened to me. Maybe European birds just don't give a s..t... They just fly away when my neo is in the air.

Never really had a issue with birds.
Love to watch them at same level.
If they get to bugging you just go straight up.
Birds gain altitude slowly.
Especially union birds.🤣
