Well, that didn't go as planned aka, Alexa stinks.

I have thought about one of those. How well does it work? A big part of my problem was that I took off from a protected area. As soon as the drone got above the tree line, things went south rather quickly.

Well, that didn't go as planned aka, Alexa stinks.

The weather here has cooled down, and I decided to go flying. It had been awhile since I flown the Neo, so I plugged in the charger and as is my customary procedure, I asked Alexa for the current windspeed. "She" replied 5mph. Not ideal for the Neo, but OK. When the batteries were all charged, I...

RTH is a little bit useless

I'm a hi-bred RTH user. I use the RTH to bring the drone back close, then take over to land it myself. This is my usual method for all my drones, unless the drone happens to be close to begin with in which case landing is all me.

    Propellers for Neo

I don't know about the pitch, but one site said they lowered the noise. At $3.88 a set, I ordered them to give them a try. If they don't work, I'll make a salad shooter out of them.... 🫣 😁

Will DJI add RTH for phone-only Neo setup?

From some of the videos that have been posted, a RTC (Return to Crash) might be more appropriate. Something that will guide you to your downed NEO. 😁

    NEO discounted already at B&H

So for $60 some bucks, which isn't a certainty, you could have it now and have more than two months usage under your belt before next year. I'm with GFields - go for it.

    Resistance is futile

Maybe they should have named it "Neato" instead. Yes I AM dating my self, but the name really does fit!

    Voice Control

What happens when someone comes up behind you and yells "To infinity and beyond!" 😁

Notable things getting to know Neo

Hmm... that's one of the reasons I bought it - to fly indoors. One of it's intended uses will be to fly in abandoned and condemned buildings.

Notable things getting to know Neo

Ditto. When I first plugged in, the charger went back and forth on the three batteries for about 4 or 5 minutes, like it was leveling them out, then started charging them all simultaneously, Took around an hour and they were all charged.

    Neo being shipped?

FWIW, Ordered mine from Amazon and received it yesterday (10/8/2024). Probably take it out this weekend.

    Neo and the RC2

I hope it works out for you. A lot faster and easier than shipping it back.

    Carry case for Neo

I ordered the Skyreat hard case that will carry the drone, batteries and controller. Like many, I'll get the case before I actually get the drone. I'll post a review here when it arrives and after the drone arrives as well.

    Neo and the RC2

It's too bad you couldn't use the Assist 2. I had a problem pairing my Mavic 3 pro with a controller and the Assist program straightened it out by removing and uploading the program to both units which allowed them to connect. I don't know if Assist 2 will run on a phone or not. Maybe you could...

    Don't do this!!!

Living proof that you don't have to be intelligent to buy and fly a drone. Tests are great - provided they are done in a manner that provides usable feedback and information. Unfortunately, many You-Tubers are simply fulfilling their mother's prediction of becoming useful only as an example of...
