    Avata 360 leaks

The 360 is looking tobe a worthwhile upgrade to the Avata 2. With LiDAR and large vision positioning sensors this should also be a safer drone for newbies. The video examples I saw on the initial reviews looks great. I am still puzzled why initial speculation had this drone as sub 250 grams...

Anyone have this happen? Possible loss of control of Neo.

Did you post this on Mavic Pilots in the Crash section? I think I remember this post.

Anyone have this happen? Possible loss of control of Neo.

Thanks for all of the responses. The two times I had loss of control was to be expected. It was due to low lighting indoors and another time I flew into a lightly, smokey building and the smoke messed with the downward sensors. Both were with the Motion Controller. I don't really fly high...

    Avata 360 leaks

Hopefully my favorite South Korean gray market seller gets the drone only in stock quickly upon release. I truly am sad though, as it stands, this will be the last new release DJI model I will buy.

Anyone have this happen? Possible loss of control of Neo.

I stumbled upon this video and am now wondering is this has happened to any forum member. I fly my Neo as a Category 1 drone with a Remote ID module attached (Over People/Moving Vehicles). This video has now scared me about doing Category type flights.

Neo 2: Notes, observations, surprises as I test and learn

Yes, you must have Remote ID, and the top propguards. Most normal patrolmen will more than likely not know drone regulations, but at the end of the day, you will be legal and compliant. I do see where you are coming from in terms of having something more than quoting regulations that they will...

Neo 2: Notes, observations, surprises as I test and learn

You cannot get more authoritative than the regulation quoted above. But Pilot Institute has a video: Also you must be Part 107 to exercise this and don't forget to charge and secure your Remote ID module.

Neo 2: Notes, observations, surprises as I test and learn

Category 1 is self certifying. The regulation: A remote pilot in command must use a small unmanned aircraft that— (1) Weighs 0.55 pounds or less on takeoff and throughout the duration of each operation under Category 1, including everything that is on board or otherwise attached to the...

Obstacle avoidance and tracking with a vehicle.

One, this is the reason I bought the Neo 2. The low price and what you get for it. Two, that's a nice looking truck.

    Neo 2 crashed

THe obstacle avoidance is far from perfect. As mentioned, was the obstacle avoidance turned on? If the bush did not have leaves on it, the obstacle avoidance may not have seen the thin branches. My Neo 2 has clipped leafless branches on several occasions so far. In my limited experience, the...

    Avata 360 leaks

The Avata 360 has FCC approval. Is there another one also?

    Avata 360 leaks

I had heard it was under 250 grams, but every leaked image I see has it looking well over 205 grams. If the Neo 2 is as good as it is, my expectations are very high for this flagship variant for DJI FPV. Hope my favorite South Korean eBay source is as quick as he usually is with getting these...

Do you use a case for neo 2 and Antenna attached?

I got this one from Amazon, and yes the drone fits with the transmission module attached. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0G327XLV7?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title

    My new accessories

On the accesory front I have some information. For the Neo 2, there is a charger now available that offers a storage mode (50 - 60%) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0G8ZQZD1D?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1 Next, the downward light for the Neo can have problems with altitude. I was flying...
