How to set gimbal mode to fpv

I'll have to check it, but I'm pretty sure you can fly the Neo with either the MC3 or FPV RC3 in Normal and Sport modes with full image horizontal axis tilt simply by turning off the image stabilization (i.e. no RockSteady or HorizonSteady). Don't know about the Neo 2 with its 2-axis gimbal.

    My new accessories

Very smart move! Eliminates the most common FPV injuries 😁😁 I'm a bit sour on those very common sling-arm folding chairs, but found a more robust alternative, the Timber Ridge Director's Chair, available at COSTCO in the US. Has solid armrests and a small foldout side-table. I absolutely love...

Very unusual problem encountered last week flying FPV with the Neo 2

Just to be clear, I never doubted you. Just thought a different explanation was far more likely. For my part I'm going with mysterious evil spirits, which still seem more likely than what the evidence is showing 😁😁😁

Very unusual problem encountered last week flying FPV with the Neo 2

I'm also a lefty like you guys, and very dominantly so. Reminds of learning golf as a teen (very important to my Dad 😁), but using right-hand clubs. I hit that "wall" of progress where I just couldn't seem to get better, and had a nasty hook I couldn't get rid of despite lots of instruction and...

Sunset shots over melting lake ice

Very nice, relatively low-light shots, better than I would have expected on the neo.

    Neo crash

Don't forget the STOP/BRAKE button in manual... has saved my bacon a few times with the Avata 2.

    Hi, from Wilmington, NC

I sincerely apologize. It's very easy to forget the limitations of this medium. You can be having a beer with a buddy, they say something utterly obvious, and you retort, "thanks for pointing that out, Captain Obvious!" You both have a belly laugh and carry on with good socializing. One of...

Should i get the neo 2?

Still the bias for footage. Some people fly just for fun, no "footage" involved. In such cases the OA can be very helpful. As for your contribution, you've been very helpful, and clearly have a lot of knowledge and experience to draw from. However your comments regarding OA in this thread...

    Neo 2 antennas

Yes. However ir can be controlled via phone via wifi with live video feed and virtual sticks. Granted, there are limitations and disadvantages to this method, but again the suitability depends on application. Regardless, my point about removal was simply addressing transportation, not actual...

First night flight with the Neo 2

Did you mean ATTI? Even with insufficient light for VPS to function, if it has a solid GPS lock it won't.

Should i get the neo 2?

@WilliamDaugherty, judging by your posts here and on mavicpilots, media capture, often in professional missions, is a great deal of your focus, which influences your bias. For those of us largely doing this purely for fun, the particulars of media capture – cinematic capability, quality, etc. –...

    Neo 2 antennas

@WilliamDaugherty, wouldn't it be nice if someone made an antenna guard with RID integrated... THAT'S something id think about buying. Better yet, DJI, how about creating an "advanced" antenna module with RID integrated? Would be nice. Bet they could sell it for $100, even more. Professionals...

    Neo 2 antennas

Methinks one has to be pretty abusive with the drone to break those antennas. However, if anticipating that sort of extreme stress to them, a protector makes sense. Me? If its going to be in a situation that hard on the antennas I just take the module off. Personally I dont find unscrewing and...

    Hi, from Wilmington, NC

Not meaning to be personally critical... Every time I read points like this it just strikes me as a bit unnecessary and silly. Kind of like replying to a review for a new e-bike with, "...but it's not good for traveling hundreds of miles, picking up 5 bags of concrete from the hardware store, or...
