    N3 Goggles vs Goggles 3

What the hell are you talking about? My first FPV drone was the DJI FPV, bought in March 2021 when it was released. I still have it, and fly it occasionally. I've been flying drones for over ten years. My first was a Phantom 4. Are you always this obnoxious?

    Are they holding us back?

I bought one 'cause I love my toys, and regret it... Never fly it. Whenever I need more than the Neo I pull out the Mini 4 Pro. I just don't seem to have the situations ever that make me think, grab the Flip. Still, being a toymeister, I can't bring myself to sell it. I might use it for...

    Neo 2?

A bit harsh, I'd say. The neo fits a specific category that in the US has a lot of value: Under 250g with protected props, allowing legally flying over people (if you add an RID module that keeps it under 250g). Beefing it up with a better camera, motors, more on-board storage, a better VPS...

Manual Mode + FPV - How did you learn?

Simulator. However, I've recently bought a second Neo so I can use my first more agressively and improve my skills... I'd like to do more true acrobatic flying than I currently can. I'm quite skilled at just flying around, doing basic acro like flips, rolls, emmelmans, etc., but not the...

    N3 Goggles vs Goggles 3

Yes indeed! I've been flying full "manual" FPV for something like 5 years now, and while I can't fly like those videos near the beginning of the thread -- too old, reflexes and visual processing has slowed -- I do pretty well. However, landing is a biotch, and after I stubbornly learned to do...

Annoying HorizonSteady flying Neo with RC2

When flying the Neo like a "regular" DJI drone using the RC2 (or the RC-N2 with a phone) the live image is processed with the DJI HorizonSteady algorithm to remove the tilting on the roll axis. It results in some really annoying control weirdness, where turning on the yaw axis is mushy and...

    Slow link with neo

Handy Android app that I use is "GPS Status", which shows how many and which birds are in your hemisphere, which are on-line and which are not.

    FPV and Birds

Since you mention work, I'm curious how you find the camera quality for professional applications. Are you using it for stills, video, or both? Camera sensor technology has come a long way in the last ten years, and while the Neo doesn't have the largest, best sensor, it compares quite...

After thinking about it for months, I got a NEO

I love the Motion Controller. For just effortless flying fun, it's intuitive and simple to use. Very much like flying a real plane with a stick. I first learned FPV on sticks like most other drone pilots. There's so much more you can do with full manual control, and plenty of thrills there too...

After thinking about it for months, I got a NEO

I'm sorry, could you translate that in to some language or rhetoric I understand? :D:D:D

    New Neo better satellite acquisition

Bought a second Neo last month to use neo #1 for some serious manual FPV beating. I was surprised to find that #2 consistently acquires satellites much much faster and gets a GPS lock than #1. I'm guessing DJI did something to address this since the initial release of the Neo, something many...

REVIEW: LEKUFEE Neo all-in-one hard case

It would be nice if DJI would add the FPV RC3 functionality to the RC2, allowing it to substitute for the FPV3. Yes, there are some different switches, but there are enough buttons and switches on the RC2 to come up with some sort of mapping scheme. Sadly, I don't think the resources will ever...

REVIEW: STARTRC Neo LED Light Landing Gear

Many of us have been frustrated by the weak pinhole camera on the Neo used for VPS, critical for holding position as well as controlled flight when relatively close to the ground. The Neo can become uncontrollable in low-light situations indoors, even during the day, and outside at dusk or other...

REVIEW: LEKUFEE Neo all-in-one hard case

Hi gang, long time no see! Those of you that know, I'm recovering spectacularly from a triple bypass last march... I feel 20 years younger, now doing 50 minutes 5x a week hard cardio (treadmill + recumbent bike) in the gym, and have a new life. Couldn't be more happy and positive. However...

    High altitude issue with Neo

Thanks for this heads-up @MS Coast... Air's getting pretty thin up there, so I'll bet the higher RPM is eating the tiny batteries, and taxing the relatively weak, cheap motors. Did you get a Flip and have it with you? A comparison in those conditions, with its huge props, would be interesting.
