    Price gouging on Amazon.com

Didn't read the whole thread, so I may be repeating. The Goggles 3 can take custom prescription lenses giving you perfect correction and clarity, especially useful if you've got significant astigmatism like me. I got lenses from HonsVR, U$40, took about a week.

    Buying a NEO 2

eBay. Search for Neo 2. Many sellers, just ordered mine from SAO Trading Inc in Japan. Supposed to arrive here in CA in 5-7 days.

    Neo 2?

The antennas presumably gives it (much?) better range, I would guess. Not sure what else this provides when it could have just been built in like on the Neo 1. I'm thinking this is part of how they kept the price of the basic, drone-only at $199. Will certainly help as I fly it VLOS 5 miles...

    Neo 2?

I highly doubt it. However, isn't the original neo already O4 capable? Otherwise, how is it i can fly it with the RC2 and Goggles 3?

First snow of 2025. Central Indiana.

I like the snow a lot, for recreation (skiing, snowmobiling, et. al.), the beauty, holiday change of pace. That's likely because I don't live where it snows, but visit.

    Neo 2?

Manual/rate mode? No, but I don't think it functions in that mode. From what I've seen in the reviews, however, in N/S modes it acts differently than the OA we're used to on the camera drones... It doesn't just stop, or fly wide over or around things. Rather, it slows down a bit (less than for...

    N3 Goggles vs Goggles 3

Hmmm... no argument here. Just astonishment at insults and belittling coming out of seemingly nowhere. Such is the character of some people, they're all over the internet. As for the video in question, yes, flown entirely with the MC3. As is most of my flying. I like that control method a lot...

    N3 Goggles vs Goggles 3

Yeah, what's your point? I fly full rate mode, and I fly angle mode. So what?

    Neo clean airflow mod

I've got the luxury of 2, so I can (and will) do this mod to one of them.

    Neo 2?

Okay, I have to have one. I am interested in and use all the features of the Neo, the autonomous stuff all the way to full acro FPV flight. I'm particularly excited about how the OA will make getting some shots shooting through openings with the MC3 way less "soil my pants" moments. I loved the...

    N3 Goggles vs Goggles 3

What the hell are you talking about? My first FPV drone was the DJI FPV, bought in March 2021 when it was released. I still have it, and fly it occasionally. I've been flying drones for over ten years. My first was a Phantom 4. Are you always this obnoxious?

    Are they holding us back?

I bought one 'cause I love my toys, and regret it... Never fly it. Whenever I need more than the Neo I pull out the Mini 4 Pro. I just don't seem to have the situations ever that make me think, grab the Flip. Still, being a toymeister, I can't bring myself to sell it. I might use it for...

    Neo 2?

A bit harsh, I'd say. The neo fits a specific category that in the US has a lot of value: Under 250g with protected props, allowing legally flying over people (if you add an RID module that keeps it under 250g). Beefing it up with a better camera, motors, more on-board storage, a better VPS...

Manual Mode + FPV - How did you learn?

Simulator. However, I've recently bought a second Neo so I can use my first more agressively and improve my skills... I'd like to do more true acrobatic flying than I currently can. I'm quite skilled at just flying around, doing basic acro like flips, rolls, emmelmans, etc., but not the...

    N3 Goggles vs Goggles 3

Yes indeed! I've been flying full "manual" FPV for something like 5 years now, and while I can't fly like those videos near the beginning of the thread -- too old, reflexes and visual processing has slowed -- I do pretty well. However, landing is a biotch, and after I stubbornly learned to do...
